Our story · Our mission

We built this because
we've been in your shoes.

We're not outsiders telling food entrepreneurs how the industry works. We're food entrepreneurs who got tired of how it works.

A note from Sandra Ferreira

Food safety is personal. So is the fight for entrepreneurs.

Sandra Ferreira
Sandra FerreiraFood brand owner & quality assurance professional

My husband and I own food brands. We know what it takes to build a product from the ground up, earn a customer's trust, and put our names behind what goes into every package.

One of those products is peanut butter. Working with peanuts made the stakes impossible to ignore: allergens, contamination risks, and the responsibility that comes with making food people bring into their homes. That responsibility is a big part of why I pursued a career in food quality assurance, following in my mother's footsteps.

Food quality and safety aren't just boxes to check in our family. They're what we were built for. I believe in strong standards, careful testing, and protecting consumers. I also know firsthand how much work it takes to meet those standards while running a food business.

What I don't believe in is unnecessary bureaucracy. Too often, entrepreneurs are buried in fees, approvals, and demands for sensitive supplier or supply-chain information without a clear explanation of why it's needed. That information represents relationships and years of hard work. It shouldn't be handed over simply because someone says it's part of the process.

Sometimes it feels like everyone gets paid before the founder does. And I've asked myself: Is this requirement actually making food safer and helping consumers—or just making it harder and more expensive for entrepreneurs to do business?

That question helped inspire NON-BS Project Verified™: a better way to put meaningful testing, clear evidence, and trust first—without the unnecessary BS.

The problem

Food entrepreneurs aren't an endless source of fees.

We invest our savings, our time, and our reputations into products we believe in. Then we enter an ecosystem of brokers, distributors, retailers, consultants, certification programs, and service providers—each with its own requirements and costs.

Many of those services play legitimate and important roles. But taken together, the system can feel stacked against the people actually making the products.

We don't think the people creating food brands should have to fight through unnecessary bureaucracy just to prove what is in their products.

Our philosophy

We're not anti-standards. We're anti-unnecessary barriers.

Food safety, traceability, and responsible manufacturing matter. But when a brand wants independent laboratory evidence about specific characteristics of its finished product, there should be a straightforward way to obtain it—and show consumers the findings.

Less paperwork.
More proof.

We don't believe a testing service should demand proprietary supplier or formulation information unless it is genuinely needed to perform the test or support the particular verification claim.

What we're building

Show the test. Show the result. Show the limits.

Independent laboratories. Clearly identified methods and criteria. Understandable findings tied to the sample and lot. Public verification pages that show exactly what was tested—and what wasn't.

Testing isn't a blanket guarantee that a product is safe or free from every possible contaminant. Results have a scope, detection limits, and limitations. Transparency means explaining those honestly.

Our promise: Clear requirements. Transparent pricing. Independent evidence. No inflated claims, no mystery hurdles, and no BS.

For the people doing the work

Built by food brand owners. For food brand owners.

This is personal. We still own food brands. We understand what it means to watch every dollar, manage production, protect consumers, and earn shelf space while navigating a complicated industry.

NON-BS Project Verified™ is our answer to the question we wish more service providers asked: How do we protect consumers and make life easier for the people building the brands?

Real testing. Real results. Zero BS.

A simpler path to independent evidence for brands—and clearer information for consumers.
